Paul Desmarre – Hairstylist & Color Expert

Originally from France, Paul Desmarre began his career in Le Mans before moving to Paris, where he trained at the highly esteemed Coiffirst Champs-Élysées. There, he mastered the art of Parisian hairstyling and developed refined techniques—including balayage—that quickly attracted attention from leading fashion publications such as Elle magazine, Madame Figaro, Jalouse, Marie Claire, and W Magazine.

In 2012, Paul relocated to Los Angeles, where he expanded his career into the fashion and entertainment industries. In 2014, he gained international recognition after cutting Pamela Anderson’s hair into a bold pixie cut. The transformation went viral and became a defining moment in his career, leading to on-set work, editorial productions, and entry into the world of Fashion Week runway.

Between 2014 and 2018, Paul worked as second assistant to Orlando Pita, contributing to major runway shows for houses including Gucci, Burberry, Emilio Pucci, Diane von Furstenberg, Moncler, Oscar de la Renta, and Giambattista Valli. His work during this period extended to Fashion Week, red carpet appearances, editorial shoots, and exclusive industry events.

Known for his expertise in balayage, natural color, precision cuts, and effortlessly chic styling, Paul is sought after by celebrities, high-profile clientele, and international clients alike. His signature Parisian aesthetic—understated, elegant, and refined—has earned him a reputation as a high-end stylist with a distinctly modern sensibility.

While Paul built a strong presence in fashion and runway, his core passion has always remained rooted in salon work and personal client relationships. Over the past decade, he has intentionally refocused on working closely with his clientele—bringing the precision, creativity, and elevated standards of fashion into a more intimate, tailored experience.

Based in Los Angeles for over a decade, Paul is a partner at Glyph Salon, where he continues to serve an elite and international clientele. He has also worked with Exclusive Artists, further expanding his presence within the entertainment industry through celebrity styling, editorial campaigns, and music video productions.

Today, Paul operates bi-coastally between Los Angeles and West Palm Beach, Florida where he is co-owner of Red Market x Martial Vivot, a flagship salon that brings his Parisian expertise, craftsmanship, and luxury approach to a new East Coast clientele.

Recognized as one of the innovative creative minds in contemporary hairstyling, Paul combines technical precision with an avant-garde eye—consistently crafting looks that are elegant, modern, and individually tailored.

“Respect and be one with hair is my number one mission.” — Paul Desmarre
